Hot on the heels of Lagavulin we present another Islay malt. This time its Ardbeg 10YO. Judged as Best commercially available whisky by the Malt Whisky Society of Australia in August, it is regarded as the peatiest of the Islay malts. Colour: Amber Nose: Earthy, oily, spicy .. a bit burnt Body: A full bodied whiskey, classically Islay Palate: Heavy but fairly smooth and mellow, slightly sweet, smoky, salty Finish: iodine |
